Some tips, hopefully it helps people.

      - No, it does not consume spell slots.
      - If you somehow cant find it, bro just bind it.

      - While the amulet is equipped, it first needs a target (dead body) to cast the spell. Some bodies are either too destroyed or just have no dialogue. (maybe some other reasons too, not sure)
      - If a body has dialogue and you have the amulet equipped, the body will glow green.
      - If the caster is one of the people who killed the target, the body will refuse to answer you once the dialogue has started. the body will still be available to speak to though, so don't worry too much. You can circumvent this by using "disguise self" spell beforehand, and the body will speak to you like normal. (I haven't tested it yet, but just getting a teammate who didn't participate in killing the target to cast it should also work.)

      - Once the spell has been used once, there will be an extra version of the spell on the right side of the hotbar where stuff like "reapply hex" usually goes, you can keep casting the spell like normal with that button
      - With the alternate version available, you can unequip the amulet and still be able to cast speak with dead, bodies with dialogue will still be highlighted, it does not require concentration, and it lasts until long rest.

      What a great swap item

For those who are missing the spell... you may have to increase the size of your all toolbar to actually see the skill. Otherwise look into the common toolbar.

I was not able to cast Speak with the Dead while having this amulet equipped. A short rest and long rest didn't change anything.

Is this a bug? I'm thinking this should work once per long rest at least? If it gives access to the spell still expects you to use one of your spell slots it's a trash bin item.

how do i use it? cannot click it. I want to talk to the fallen god damnit. is there a restriction or something?

            • Not sure if we can post videos or the best way to go about it, but here is a video showing an entrance to the dank crypt and a clear up to the amulet. Here is a link for now, but I can upload the video file if possible: https://youtu.be/LGKaFsYCuqI
