See Invisibility is a broken mechanic right now, as in non-functional.
It's probably intentional, to make Faerie Fire useful.

It's so weird that ILLUSION subclass wizards get this as a free spell at 6, when it is clearly a Divination spell (which is the opposed school of Illusion in older editions and in the lore at large), but the Divination subclass gets it at level 10...

Useless spell, enemies get a DEX save. Just use alchemist fire or any aoe cantrip.

Less "See Invisibility" and more "Detect Hidden" since there's a save for an invisible target to become visible (Which is rolled each round when the person with See Invisibility takes their turn)
If it works, it can be useful.
For example, if you end up in combat with vendors (Such as the one with the Paladins that Karlach wants you to kill, or the vendor near Priestess Gut) as they like to drink invis potions.
Also when you first confront Auntie Ethel she goes invis and if you see her you can spam Command: Halt and kill her there rather than at the end of her gauntlet where she spawns a bunch of copies of herself that spam Ray of Sickness.
It's just... It doesn't always work. Often, you're better off just tossing a bottle of Alchemists Fire or a Fireball at where you think the invisible target is.
On the flip side, it's patchy effectiveness doesn't benefit sneaky players either. Using invisibility around NPC's that can see invisibility (Such as the Druids around the Idol of Silvanus) is kind of hit or miss. You CAN save against being detected. But it's often not worth the trouble of risking the dice and better to find alternate means of bypassing such targets (Such as causing a distraction to turn them away or using a Mage Hand to throw things into secluded areas)

This doesn't seem to work as intended. You cannot see the invisible opponents, even when selecting the character that has see invisibility on them. They only lose invisibility if they fail the saving throw.

The better version of see invisibility is seeing the movement pathing line curve around nothing and dropping an aoe spell on that spot

There was no reason to attach a saving throw to this, see invisibility is supposed to be automatic. And your supposed to still know where invisible creatures are based on hearing, invisibility doesn’t actually prevent people from knowing where you are and attacking you, it just prevents sight (and because of that many spells).
What does " *POSSIBLY* reveal them to others. " mean in BG3 ?
Is there some kind of a dice roll or something that dictates does your see invis character share their info with others in your party?

This is a good spell, it exposes any invisible ambush which are quite present in the game. I've spotted 3 ambushed with the spell in ACT 2 alone.

If you let Volo experiment on you and take your eye out, you get a glass eye which grants permanent See Invisibility

Update: you can get this as a glass eye from rescuing a certain writer from goblins
