There are no +2 heavy weapons (Greatsword, great axe, maul) in this game until you reach Act 3, so this being a +1 gives it staying power for a good portion of the game. Tyr's Protection is a free +2 AC without spending a spell slot, so this Sword can be justified staying through the final boss if you want. To supplement with more damage, I recommend the Caustic Band and the Flawed Helldusk Gauntlets, both of which can be found fairly early on
One of the best swords in the game by my think. Warrior does not have concentration, so it's free +2 armor.

Another Abjuration item for Arcane Ward boosting.
Githyanki Wizards can use this without issue btw.

As of today unequipping the weapon in any way or using any other concentration spell will break this one. It's one charge on the item per Short Rest.

Why, oh WHY is the concentration on the Tyr's Protection spell broken if you switch into Wild Shape form??? The normal Shield of Faith spell is maintained when in Wild Shape form, SO STUPID THAT THIS IS NOT!!!!!! I'm mad now...

What is the UUID of this item? Or alternatively, how can I spawn it with the ID given on this page?

great paladin weapon, the buff offsets the AC loss of not having a shield if you're pivoting off a duelling build for two-handing, lasts till long rest and is replenished on short rest. pommel strike is a nice bit of extra damage before you have access to Extra Attack and most importantly it looks cool!

Very strong weapon. The buff is incredibly powerful since it lasts until long rest, you just want to avoid getting your concentration broken. But don't worry too much, the spell comes back after a short rest anyway. And it's usually easy for greatsword-wielding characters to pass concentration checks. One reason this weapon is so good is the fact that you can't really get a better one for a long time, it's important to pick this up if you want to use a greatsword (or any heavy weapon in general)

I was talking to Anders the paladin of Tyr during the Karlach quest. During the dialog he gave me his sword, the "Sword of Justice". But after the conversation I am looking through my inventory and there is nothing there. Even sorted by latest and nothing. Is this a bug or am I missing something?

This sword is great for both abjuration wizards (even Gale) and fighters. Fighters are very good at maintaining concentration and battlemasters greatly benefit from AC for their riposte skill. Abjuration wizards can recover their Arcane Ward on a bonus action with this Sword mid fight, which is very powerful, by level 5 it is +2AC and around 14 temp HP on a BA

Has this dropped as an Uncommon and not a Rare for anyone else or just me?
Like the weapon is the same, just the rarity is different.

Potentially the best item in the game.
Either this, or the absolutes warboard or the staff of arcane blessing

I think this is a bug, but there is an option to cast a buff on all members of the group. Just alternately pass the sword and cast the spell. You doesn't need to held sword in your hands to save the buff! Patch 7, barbarian.

Maybe its a coincidence but Anders having the sword of Justice just reads as a dragon age 2 reference to me

So apparently this sword is superior to the one you get from killing the devil in the tutorial. Can someone explain why?
I figure Everburn has more damage potential.

Not sure if it was a glitch or not, but I was able to get two of these by stealing it once, but when fighting him he got it back so I had Lae'zel disarming attack him successfully and got a second one. Only one is marked as a story item though, probably because of Gale.

I got the sword but my dumbass gave it to Gale and he consumed it so now I guess I have no way of getting it back...fml

I had this on the Gith girl and when I reloaded the game, the sword disappeared on all saved games with her equipping it...
In my experience this thing is more furstration than it's worth. if you dismiss the companion you gave this too forgetting that this breaks concentration, you have to take a short rest to get it back. If you forget about the concentration spell and unequip the sword for one reason or another, oyu have to take a short rest to get it back. If you accidentally cast a concentration spell because this game doesn't warn you when you're laready concentrating on something AGAIN, you have to take a hsort rest to get it back. Hell, sometimes I simply _come out of a cutscene_ to find that the concentration buff is gone (and have the same problem with mage armor as well)
