Rapiers in Baldur's Gate 3 are pieces of equipment that are used to inflict damage against hostile characters such as Enemies and Bosses. Rapiers are Finesse Martial Weapons in BG3 that can be one-handed, dealing 1-8 Damage without enchantments. They have a range of 1.5m, and they deal Piercing Damage, though some special Rapiers also deal another type of Damage as well.
Many Rapiers have unique properties, so you should read carefully what these do, and many also have Weapon Actions that can only be used if you are Proficient with Rapiers in BG3. These Weapon Actions are Flourish, Piercing Strike, and Weakening Strike.

There's a rapier called Infernal Blade that's missing from the list as well. You can get it in Act 2, It's a +2 weapon, it's weapon action is called Planar Ally: Cambion (the same kind of cambion you can fight in the tutorial) so it's worth getting.

There is a rapier called Rupturing Blade that's missing on this list. It has +1 Weapon Enchantment and has a Weapon Action called Searing Blood. I think I bought it from the merchant Brem at the Zhentarim Hideout? I can't really remember but I think from him.
Added entry for Pelorsun Blade, started page, no idea how to link it to this entry etc https://baldursgate3.wiki.fextralife.com/Pelorsun_Blade
