It's not really "lasts until long rest" but rather "disappears if you long rest with the item in your inventory". Just put your weapon in your storage before a long rest, it will still be oiled when you wake up.
Well, until they fix it (work with patch 5).

Lesser Oil of Sharpness = Lasts 10 Turns.

Appears to last until long rest, and stacks with base enhancements. Getting a +5 or +6 bonus is possible if your weapon is +2 or +3 to begin with.
