Devilfoil Mask is a Helmet in Baldur's Gate 3. Helmets can be equipped to the character's head in their designated inventory slot and provide different effects ranging from increased Saving Throws, to gaining Advantage on certain attacks.

  2. On an altar, same room as Merregon Legionnarie
  3. One on the Merregon Legionnarie himself.
  4. Can be found next to a skeleton behind a cave-in (X:-665 Y:460)

Devilfoil Mask Notes & tips

  • These masks have an unlisted magical effect called "Infernal Legion". When within 20M of another creature wearing a Devilfoil Mask Str increases by 1 and Int, Wis & Cha all decrease by 1 per nearby mask, to a maximum of +3/-3.
  • They can be crafted into Orthon Explosive by Dammon located in the Last Light Inn, Shadow-cursed Lands during Act II

      Question: Will the buff stack with Gloves of Hill Giant Strength? Is it possible to hit 26 STR on one Character with 3x Masks?

        you run into merregons you can speak to in act 2. does wearing these do anything special to the dialogue?

          Kind of silly to hold on to three items for an entire act just to get explosives, but meh.

          Orthon Explosives are 3d6 fire damage that explode in a decently large radius. You can also eventually find them in a one-off boss battle.

            Having all 4 of the masks equipped only provides +3/-3 since you can only be close to 3 other PCs with the mask. You do not get a bonus for the one you have equipped on your main PC.

              Wow, I need to build a party around this. With 4 martial characters, +4 str on everyone is increadibly broken!
              Can it bring you above 20?

              Even if not, that still means I can take GWM on everyone and still have 20 str!
