Great with the whispering promise to give the whole team bless

Periap of Wound Closure makes this bonus action AoE heal more powerful. It maxes out the healing to be 4 + mod (which should be 5, so 9). If you give yourself Life Cleric's 1lvl Disciple of Life, then it goes up to 12HP per bonus action cast for the whole team. There are plenty item effects like "heal additional 2 HP" or grant additional bonuses
Amulet of Restoration in underdark gives you Healing Word and Mass Healing Word on long rest. Useful for support druids. They scale with wisdom so not as useful for bards; better to just get mass healing word from magical secrets.

Incredibly useful when >2 party members are down since it heals downed companions as well

Bards can access this spell with their bonus spell list through either College of Lore or base level 10 Bard.
Combo this with the Whispering Promise Ring and Hellrider's Pride gloves. You'll apply Bless, Blade Ward and +1 STR saving throws to your entire party.
I thought it's bad. But there are items that give bless per heal, physical resist per heal and maximum healing per heal.
So, with all of this mass heal by bonus action is not bad thing. The only bad thing - bard can't cast it :(
