Kith'rak Voss Dialogue Options

When first found, Kith'rak Voss is riding his mount, Qudenos, a Red Dragon. He arrives from the skies and interacts with Sarth Baretha. He is the leader and commands the rest of the Githyanki in the zone. He will inquire you about the Nautiloid crash. Apparently, he is looking for the Mysterious Artefact, in your possession. If Lae'zel is part of the team, she will immediately head to him as soon as he is in her sights.

Two things can happen during this conversation:

  • Kith'rak Voss is convinced. Both he and the rest of the Githyanki patrol leave the area.
  • He is not convinced, proceeds to order Sarth Baretha your execution and leaves the area riding Qudenos.

Dialogue choices:

When he approaches Lae'zel and asks for her name, you have a few response options. This varies based on your character.

  1. Nod to Lae'zel. Go ahead
  2. [DRAGONBORN] I will be speaking on her behalf, gith.

Allow Lae'zel to speak for herself and she will approve. He will then proceed to describe a weapon he is missing. He will then state that Lae'zel is to join their search.

  1. Mouth a silent command to Lae'zel: 'truth'.
  2. [PERSUASION] Mouth a silent command to Lae'zel: 'play along'.
  3. Produce the odd artefact. You're looking for this, I take it?
  4. I have my own mandate. Time to die, gith.

Choose to undergo the persuasion check and pass it and she will play along. Both Lae'zel and Shadowheart will approve. Kith'rak will also be content with this answer. Your interactions here could also inspire Astarion

You can trade with him during the dialogue in the mountain pass. He has a letter from someone to meet him in the upper floors of Sharess' Caress in Baldur's Gate. He also sells an elixir of heroism.

if lae'zel is dead in your camp- at least from that one night cs- she seems to revive just for the interaction with him though she's otherwise unable to be spoken to.

He is more then cool, be is actually rather trustworthy. Shadowh and Karla approve of not killing him after camp (night) encounter. His words carry the truth. Lae'zel.

I skipped the patrol encounter, used Mistry Step to teleport to the area exit and went to Act II. Then came back, the patrol group and Voss were still there but cutscene wouldn't trigger anymore unless I talked to them first. Anyway, what's interesting is that I could attack the dragon and he wouldn't aggro, he just stood there taking damage. +250 free exp.

I used Command: Drop Weapon and he dropped his legendary sword then flew off. Does anyone know if this softlocks my progress later on?
Do you mean him again later and does his sword have any significance if it's missing at that future point in time?
