Only + I can see for this is when casted at the center of a difficult terrain or fog/cloud/aoe. And even then..
Perhaps if twinspelled by sorc? =_=; Still not worth the spell lvl.

Spell tooltip specifies : Description: Summon a giant vine capable of **dragging** creatures toward itself.
Does that mean that the creature being dragged stays on the floor and would be damaged for every few inches moved towards the vine, like someone would if dashing in a burning terrain?

This spell only lasts 10 turns, despite the game not displaying a duration

This is inaccurate, the spell summons a grasping vine minion with an attack that pulls enemies and has 5 health.

Finally updated to be somewhat useful as of patch 6. The spell no longer requires concentration and is cast using only a bonus action. As of patch 6, the spell is currently bugged (shocking) as upcasting will make the spell cost an action AND bonus action. When summoned, the initial grasping vine will also summon a vine surface that can entangle enemies. Grasping pull (the vine's only attack) now triggers a Dex saving throw with a base DC of 8 in order to succeed. Oh and the vine now finally has more than 3 HP, which is nice.
