Gold Dwarf is a Subrace of Dwarf in Baldur's Gate 3. Gold Dwarf starts with a bonus 1 Hit Point and gains another point each time they level up. While creating your Character in Baldur's Gate 3, you can choose between 11 different types of Races. Each of them has their special characteristics and some of them have Sub-Races which provide different Features and Traits.

  • BG3 Full Game Note: In the full launch of Baldur's Gate 3, Ability Score Points for Races that were present in Early Access are removed. And instead, Ability Score Points in the full game correspond with the Class players will choose.

Gold dwarves are known for their confidence and keen intuition. The culture of their Deep Kingdom values family, ritual, and fine craftmanship.

Made a Gold Dwarf Druid. My friend whom I play the game with made a Half-Orc Fighter and every level up until now, I have been a single hit-point behind him. I love Dwarven toughness. Finally a non-squishy druid to play as. (Once played a Halfling Druid in a DnD session. Nice synergy with area denial spells, but fairly fragile)

There's one in Reithwin that appeared with some red puff, was crouching, tried to go talk to her (yellow outline) then just randomly vanished again. Not even a stealth check. Maybe I will find out more later but does anyone know what that was about? Did I just miss some special thing?

A decent choice if you want to be a Dwarven Draconic Sorcerer, as you end up with even more HP (plus being a distance caster your speed isn't as important)
