Glaives in Baldur's Gate 3 are pieces of equipment that are used to inflict damage against hostile characters such as Enemies and Bosses. Glaives are Two-Handed Martial Weapons in BG3 that boast Extra Reach. They can only be two-handed, dealing 1-10 damage without enchantments. They have a range of 2.5m, and deal Slashing Damage, though some special Glaives also deal another type of Damage as well. Being melee weapons, Glaives scale off of Strength, save for The Dancing Breeze which is a Finesse weapon and scales off of the wielder's highest stat between Strength and Dexterity.
Many Glaives have unique properties, so you should read carefully what these do, and many also have Weapon Actions that can only be used if you are Proficient with Glaives in BG3. These Weapon Actions are Lacerate, Rush Attack, and Brace (Melee).

There is another absolutely wild glaive found at the top of the Arcane Tower not far from the Myconoid colony from an automaton. It's got the base 1d10+1 Damage, and +1d6 lightning damage. Best melee weapon in the game so far for me by a long shot.

This needs updating! here's my addition:
RETURNING PIKE
- uncommon
- pike, 2 handed, thrown, extra reach
- 1d10 dmg (piercing)
- weapon enchantment: +1
- special weapon feat: HOMING WEAPON: "this weapon will return to its owner when thrown" (note: it returns in your weapon slot, not in the inventory. And it does that even if you miss an attack it still gets back in your hand)
- proficiency will unlock: Brace attack; Rush attack; and Piercing Strike
- description: "A 'Crazy Wilbur' is a technique invented by the dwarvish Ticklebeard Clan. It envolves getting your larger enemies to swallow your weapon, then calling it back to you - as messily as possible"
Great addition to a frenzied barb <3

Depressingly low amount of glaives in the game? Every other vendor seems to have a nice longsword with some effects, but yet to find any glaives or halbards.

This page needs some love. Sorrow's description is incorrect, and The Dancing Breeze is missing Finesse
