seems to be fairly mid considering the enemy has to manage to hit you in order to do dmg to them with it, which in a game with high AC being good is counterintuitive, but still it's damage nonetheless

Does this proc on a miss? If I have fire shield on, and the enemy misses the attack, do they still take the fire shield damage?

The clothing set you get from Mizora for killing Karlach let's you cast Warm shield specifically.

Potentially very useful for the right character. This does not use reactions so it damages on every attack and it does not run out. Armor of Agathys ends once you have no bonus hitpoints left and the Tempest Cleric passive uses a reaction.

Really weak spell. Only deals 2-16 damage despite what the text in game says (you only cast the cold or fire version but the tooltip in game shows damage for both combined). Only works when you are attacked, and getting attacked often as a wizard usually means you die. Warlocks might use it if they go pact of blade and melee heavy. Can't cast it on someone else either.

is the cold version (deals cold dmg when hit) of this in game?

There is a shield in act 2 that gives you this. Very good if you combine it with armor of agathys for massive counter damage.
