- You may not change an old Invocation when you level up. Make sure to choose one that will be useful as your character levels up.

Its honestly astonishing how insanely bad some of these invocations are, IT'S NOT THAT HARD to think of better things to get at higher levels. Just gives more credit to the idea of Warlock being a dip class, real sad

Omen level 2 with devils sight and and one with shadows is great for stealth hybrid, level 6 fey is also good for assassins doing the urge playthrough. Can be fun for minthara. You cast darkness and silence... The npc is done for in quiet. Provided silence works as it should. Spore druid hybrid 2 necrotic melee damage bonus is nice

These invocations need a serious rework. I think any and all spells that you learn from the list should just be free to cast, and there should be invocations that make sure you never break concentration and/or give more spell slots. At least make the useless invocations competitive

I'm sad that the Eldritch Adept feat isn't present in the game. Abjuration Wizards have to choose between dipping 2 levels of Warlock to get Armor of Shadows, or staying pure-class to get level 6 spells

Playtest before you complain. I do believe many of these spells gained from invocations are rituals that require no slots outside of combat. Speak with dead or jump at will is pretty nice imo.

Most of them seem really useless cause they require a Warlock spellslot. Agonizing Blast, Repelling Blast, Armor of Shadows, Devils Sight and maybe Beguiling Influence if the warlock is the face of the party.

For Wyll, the perfect selection seems:
Agonizing Blast
Repelling Blast
Beguling Influence - Gaining a muchly needed profficiency in persuation. Making sure to not take deception at character creation
Armor of Shadows - Chosen because of using the Potent Robe, making up for not using a Light Armor
Devils Sight - Lack of Darkvision
Minions of Chaos

Why for the love of Asmodeus did they not include Eldritch Mind? Warlock’s hate losing concentration, they only have 2 slots already.

Aside from the ones for eldrich blast msot or all seem useless at best, detrimental at worst. In PnP aren't a number of those using the spells without using our EXCRUCIATINGLY LIMITED spell slots? And then the one for tome doesn't have scaling so at level 9 we get 2 one time use spells that are WORSE than any of our other options at that point. Seems like straight warlock is practically garbage

These eldritch invocations suck.
Almost all of the "You can cast X at will" spells are already rituals that have an instant cast time (Disguise Self, Speak with Animals, Enhance Leap, Speak with Dead). The ones that let you cast a spell once per long rest using a warlock spell slot have always sucked.
Like what do you even want besides Agonizing and Repelling Blast. It's a shame too because this is a game where I'd actually like stuff like Grasp of Hadar, Lance of Lethargy, or Eldritch Spear. I actually do run up against Eldritch Blast's range limit in this game.

"So no thirsting blade for extra attack for blade warlocks?? RIP" you get extra attack at level 5 if you have pact of the blade

Lack of Chains of Carceri or similar is a big feels bad for Chain Lock.

from what I can tell, leveling up does not let you change invocations, and you have to talk to the respec guy in camp to do so, requiring you to redo all your level ups. annoying

Are Sign of ill Omen & Thief of Five Fates really as bad as in tabletop? Giving you just the access to the spell that you need to use your 1 of 2 slots to cast? Or mb Larian made changes?
Such epic names for the worst features in dnd lol
The really good ones are lv 2 unlocked, everthing else is mid or trash.
