      this guy is a potential target for the "Control Undead" ability that oathbreaker paladins get. Just convince him to give u the lantern, walk off and find him later near moonrise. He'll be marked as an undead entity, and can be controlled for the rest of the act/ boss fight at the end of the act. Just be sure to be atleast 1 level higher than him.

        If you exhaust the dialogue options for the one in the goblin outpost it won't turn agressive even if you attack it. Then if you have a disarm attack you can just steal the lantern off it

          I turned him into a sheep and pushed him off moonlight tower. (not a spoiler, not the boss). what loot did I miss?
