I was always too afraid to ever try this in my main run because I heard that Astarion disapproves when you use any spell that takes agency away from people. I was playing a good character that didn't kill orphans so my approval with him was always in jeopardy and I didn't want to risk it

So if once they are dominated, they attack themselves right away, things to do to counter this would be to raise their WIS check. Possibly using Command on them or Confuse/Blind/Poison?
(Then whats the point to begin with?)

this spell is way worse than in regular 5e because enemies will find ways to damage themselves and instantly break the spell. how are you gonna cast ice storm on yourself so you give yourself two fcking saving throws... so stupid lmao

          yes i'm salty

i used this spell and they failed the save. when it came time for their turn, they just attacked THEMSELF, taking damage and breaking out of the spell. then used a bonus action to attack me. very cool thank you i’m very glad i used a 5th level spell just for the game to tell me to go **** myself

Just got a bug where attacking an enemy that had been dominated after combat had ended caused my party to become hostile towards the caster.
I went to camp and everyone was trying to kill me and Shadowheart
