This spell is nice if you savescum but I prefer hold person, which can be upcast.

Warning !! This spell has lower success % than other WIS save spell. For example, if Hold prison/ Tasha Laughter get 60%, Crown of Madness, will get like 35% on the same enemy. You can test it. I am not sure if some other spells has hidden negative stat like this.

Pretty funny spell to use on town npcs.
Watch them wreak havoc around.
If they get killed, you get the exp.
Plus it doesn't aggro town guards if you cast it.

It would be nice if this website also included whether or not a spell gains benefits when upcasted. Some spells gain no benefits or additional damage when upcasted.

I love this spell. Target the big brutes in a fight and watch them start bashing the squishy casters. I did this to dror ragslin and the fight with the druegar on the ships and the fights were over almost instantly

So, I cast this on the goblin boss at the windmill… the results were hilarious. He took a swing and a miss at the nearest other goblin, at which point every other goblin and warg said “f*** you buddy” and promptly annihilated him. This caused a scripted surrender. Fight over.

I've found an Issue where I used crown of madness, and the inflicted ran to the farthest person (they were paralyzed so I assume that's why) and killed them. I wanted them alive :(

Pretty difficult to cast this spell to an enemy, most of the time just fails due to save throw.
It was successful only once on low-lvl goblin and he was immediately killed by another ones.
I think there are more useful lvl 2 spells than this one.

Currently not working correctly. Used it and the goblin continued to attack me even though a warg and another goblin were MUCH closer.
not upcast, only one target - waste of time.
