Bane (Status Effect) is a Status Effect in Baldur's Gate 3. Status Effects are the different conditions that can affect characters in both positive and negative ways.

- Effect: Receive a 1d4 penalty to attack rolls and saving throws.
How to Acquire Bane (Status Effect)
- During the quest 'Save Mayrina' (chapter 1), when you go into the Hag's Hut you will see several people that have "struck a deal" (so to speak) with the Hag. One of the unfortunate souls has been trapped in a mirror. If you break the mirror to free the trapped soul, you will be infected with the condition, Bane.
- An enemy can cast Bane on you or any of your party members.
How to Remove Bane (Status Effect)
- Long (full) Rest
