Ammunition in Baldur's Gate 3 are items used to inflict damage to enemies and can usually can be obtained through exploration, and looting it from specified areas of a Location, killing Enemies, and are given by NPCs.

Arrow of Many Targets (not listed) has a bug where on additional hits it calculates any hit chance modifiers BEFORE checking for a critical hit or miss. That means you can roll a 1, have +19 in hit chance and still crit hit. Of course since it does half damage on secondary targets, these crits only end up doing "normal" damage, but they effectively ignore enemy AC.

Most versatile arrow is Arrow of Many targets, if you're playing a ranger, stock up on these if you see them.
Sharpshooter seems to apply the flat 10+ damage once it starts spreading to other targets, and they also inherit your weapon coating so it maximizes poisons.
