Dude this cantrip is trash now. It finally had some utility with the armor debuff but now it's rather useless.

It no longer produces acid surface. Cantrip is meh due to being a ST spell, damage is very low. I can only see this as a somewhat viable option with 16 spell DC and against a couple of enemies. But I mean, better use shatter in this already rare scenario or fireball

This may be underwhelming in its vanilla form, but with evocation wizard's potent cantrip feat (which in BG3 makes saving harder, besides applying half damage if saved) AND the necklace of elemental casting (which applies the spellcasting modifier to damage), this becomes really interesting against packed mobs. 2d6 + int mod + -2AC in an AoE for free sounds pretty good, but takes some setup.
